Bridget Mooney’s love of the outdoors began when she was a wee child, watching “Wild America” and wandering in the East Bay parks. Her dedication to public service and desire to improve her outdoor survival skills led her to the search and rescue scene; she has been an active member of Cal-ESAR since 2006. She has participated in numerous mutual aid searches in California, from the seashores of Point Reyes to the backcountry of Yosemite.
Bridget studied Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Biology and now works for the Department of Agriculture, where she does her best to protect the local flora from various exotic six-legged critters. She also applies and expands her knowledge of plants and insects at her family’s organic farm.
If she isn’t outside, Bridget can often be found listening to or playing music. She plays various drums, the Irish tin whistle, and guitar and wonders why there are so many sad songs. |

Art Sallee started with Fresno County SAR Mountaineering Team in October of 1988 and became interested in tracking. Brad Smith, Pacific Mantracking Assoc of Northern Calif. was an early mentor and issued instructor status to Art in 1995. Since that time, many tracking classes have been given to volunteers from the Mountaineers, Posse and Jeep Unit as well as from other jurisdictions.
In 2006 Art applied for certification from POST under the name of Pacific Mantracking of Calif, which was granted. County SAR, Kern County SAR as well as many local volunteer SAR members. The POST website has the course listed under Wilderness Tracking with reference to Fresno County. Art is still active and has very well trained proctors with a long history in SAR. |
